Hotels In Anjuna

Anjuna is one of the most popular beaches of Goa, with swaying coconut palms and soft white sand on the shore of the Arabian Sea. A variety of tourists are attracted to this locality because of the celebrated full moon parties, the famous flea market of Anjuna offering Tibetan, Kashmiri and Gujarati trinkets and handicrafts, and the general hippy-era atmosphere of the sixties that permeates the area. Both the beachfront and village at Anjuna are flooded with good places to eat and drink. Most are thatched palm leaf open-air spots, specializing in fish and western food. All serve cold beer, invariably with thumping techno music in the background. Fresh fruits, including watermelons, pineapples and locally grown coconuts are available for sale from the local vendors. Bathing is generally safer at Anjuna than at most of the nearby resorts, especially at the more peaceful southern end of the beach, where a rocky headland keeps the sea calm and the undertow to a minimum. The Dabolim Airport is 47 km from Anjuna village.
