All this week we're handing the decisions Over2u, giving you the chance to vote for what you want to see on the Hotels4U blog.
Today on our Facebook page we asked you to vote for what type of family friendly holiday you wanted us to blog about: beach breaks, or city trips?
Well the results are now in...and city breaks have taken the win!
We know it's stressful enough having to lug your kids around a strange city, and when it comes to family holidays, some cities are much more welcoming towards youngsters than others. So to help you decide which one to choose, here's a round-up of our favourite family destinations, featuring some of the best European cities for catering to children.

London has plenty to keep kids occupied (image by John Goode via Flickr)
London
Let your kids loose at ZSL London Zoo in the north end of the capital's centre. One of the largest zoos in Europe, it's home to around 800 different species of animals. If your children still have some extra energy, they can run wild in Regent's Park, one of central London's largest green spaces, which surrounds the premises.

Aberdeen
Take the kids to Aberdeen, and go for a stroll along the beach boardwalk. Just a few miles away from the city centre, it's the ideal breath of fresh air when travelling with the family. You won't be short on seagulls to spot, and there are plenty of child-friendly burger joints and cafés to choose from along the beachfront as well as nearby fishing villages to explore. If you're feeling extra adventurous, head to Codonas, the amusements along the coastline. From rollercoasters to waltzers and fair games, it's bound to wear the little ones out and be fun for all the family!

Paris
Perhaps the best way to keep the kids out of trouble is to have them climb one of the most famous French landmarks, The Eiffel Tower. All 704 steps should give them something to tell their friends about while you and your partner admire the view in this city of love. Then go underground and wander through The Catacombs, located deep beneath the city's narrow, winding streets. Dating back to the late 18th century, there are more than 6-million, neatly stacked skeletons lining the walls of this vast network of underground tunnels (perhaps one for the braver children!)

Try a Spanish theme in Madrid (image by Javier Martin Espartosa via Flickr)
Madrid
Entertain your children at the Aviation Museum in Madrid. Just a short distance from the city centre, this attraction doesn't just display a variety of vintage planes, but once a month you can even watch them in flight. Sample the local Spanish cuisine at one of the many markets throughout the city centre, most are within walking distance from a range of Madrid hotels. From the sophisticated setting of San Miguel market to more traditional vendors including Maravillas and Antón Martín, whether its fish and tortillas or quintessentially Spanish spices and vegetables, you'll be able to get a taste of typical Castillian flavours at their freshest.

Take in the history of Berlin (image by Mariusz Sitorsk via Flickr)
Berlin
Engage your kids with some education and take them to the remains of The Berlin Wall. The point where east meets West Germany is a central site so you'll find plenty of Berlin hotels in the area. From architecture to artwork, there's a lot to explore around this historical hub, especially if you follow the markers that track the original line of the wall. For some light hearted culture, be sure to stop by The Currywurst Museum where you can make your own sausages. Just a few minutes away from Checkpoint Charlie, the museum shares the heritage, production process and recipes of the different varieties of this German delicacy.
