Georgioupolis is a popular vacation resort built on the delta of the river Almiros and boasting the longest (9 km) sandy beach on the west coast of Crete. With the stunning White Mountains as its backdrop and the air scented with giant eucalyptus trees, Georgioupolis holds the original charm and tranquillity of the quiet fishing village in days of old.
