Hotels In Katelios

Katelios is a seaside fishing village with a sand and shingle beach located on the south east coast between the busy resorts of Skala and Lourdas and 24 km from the island's capital of Argostoli. The small harbour and beach have several tavernas famous for fresh fish and Greek dance and barbeques are a regular part of the Katelios nightlife. Motorboats are available for hire to explore the surrounding beaches and it is a walker’s paradise with rare plants and birds flourishing along local footpaths. Visitors can explore the neighbouring wine estate in Mavrata famous for its Robolla, the Sissia Monastery, the church of the Virgin of the Snakes, and the Katelios Environmental Group, protectors of the caretta caretta turtles who love the sandy beaches in the area.
