Hotels In Vilaflor

Vilaflor is Spain's highest village, situated at 1,400 metres above sea level and nestled among pine and almond trees. For centuries visitors have come to the dry climate of Vilaflor to restore their health and its excellent spring water cascading from the summit is bottled and distributed worldwide. The cheeses and wines of the area are famous and there are a number of superb restaurants. Outstanding displays of unique traditional architecture can be seen at the Parish Church, the old Palace of the Lords in the Abona region and the Convent of Bethlehemita, where the first Canarian saint was born. Other spots to visit are Madre del Agua, El Sombrero, Lomo Gordo, Las Lajas recreational area, the San Roque mountain, Agua Agria and Las Canadas, home of the shy and elusive Iberian goats. Vilaflor is located 15 km from Teide National Park, about 90 km southwest of the island's capital and 25 km northwest of Tenerife South Airport.
