Agios Spyridon is a beautiful and quiet beach on the northern coast of Corfu, near the protected wetland of Antinioti lagoon. Situated between the tourist resorts of Kassiopi and Acharavi, Agios Spyridon is set in two picturesque bays that look out onto the Coast of Albania. This is truly a magnificent bay with the flatness of the beach offset by the ruggedness of the rocks either side of the two beaches flanking the stunning turquoise sea. A handful of bars and traditional tavernas serve excellent food. This quiet resort is popular with birdwatchers and botanists because of its proximity to the nature reserve. But the main attraction is the European Blue Flag beach, which is a good stretch of sand washed by warm Ionian waters and the beautiful surrounding countryside with all its wild flowers, butterflies and birds. The capital Corfu Town and the Airport are about 25 miles to the south of St. Spyridon. Nearby, there is the monastery of Agia Ekaterini, founded in 1713 and in its church there are remarkable 18th and 19th century frescoes.
