Elounda is situated just 10 kilometres north of Aghios Nikolaos, famous for its luxury hotels and bustling fishing harbour. There are brilliant views across the Gulf of Mirabello from the coast road which leads to Aghios Nikolaos. You can also see the island of Spinalonga (known locally as the Island of Tears). The beaches in Elounda are golden sand and watersports are available on the beach.
