The family friendly resort of Es Cana is situated in the east of the island of Ibiza. The beach is a sweep of golden sand, supervised by lifeguards, where children can play safely all day. There are a number of cheerful places to eat out, lively family entertainment bars, and a tiny harbour filled with fishing boats and fabulous views across the sea to distant islands. There is plenty of daytime action with banana boats, water skiing, parasailing and windsurfing and surrounding the resort there are beautiful unspoiled beaches easily reached by foot. From the small harbour there are daily boat trips to sophisticated Ibiza Town with its cobbled streets of the old walled town, or Santa Eulalia with its classy marina, pristine beach and many shops. The famous Hippy Market held each Wednesday is just a short stroll from the main resort. Close by, the small white-washed village of San Carlos is home to the legendary Anitas Bar which was the original hang out of the hippies. It also has a pretty little church and a few good restaurants.
