Kanoni is just 4 km from Corfu Town, situated in a very pretty and residential corner very close to the Corfu airport. Coffee shops here offer incredible view of Chalkiopoulos lagoon and the town’s airport, with planes landing and taking off only few meters above the ground. Kanoni is a densely built tourist resort, home to the town casino and a number of luxury hotels. The Kanoni resort includes Paleopolis, the ancient city of Corfu with Mon Repos estate. This area is a good solution for visitors wanting to stay close to the center of the town, but not too close. The many attractions include 'Mouse Island' easily reached by boat, Vlakherna, housing a small convent and linked to Corfu by a narrow causeway, and Mon Repos Palace, birthplace of the Duke of Edinburgh. One can admire these views from Kanoni peninsula. There are also hotels located in a very quiet area of Kanoni, with minimal airport noise. Generally, Kanoni is one big green park and the land here is considered to be the most expensive on the island.
