Pastida is a charming village slightly inland from the coast on the northern tip of Rhodes, 5 miles from Trianta, and 10 miles from Rhodes Town. This small Greek village with its typical square has fine buildings and traditional cafes along with a pleasant low-key atmosphere. There is a delightful collection of distinctive village shops and cafes where locals and visitors happily mix. Pastida is inland from the coast and surrounded by attractive agricultural countryside full of olive groves and citrus trees but there are wonderful long beaches at the nearby resorts of Kremasti and Trianta. Historic Rhodes Town offers good shopping, a huge selection of restaurants and bars and plenty of lively nightlife. The extraordinary Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a hugely impressive and remarkably well-preserved medieval Crusader fortress city packed with shops, bars and restaurants. Rhodes Town and the other coastal villages can be reached by regular buses that leave from the centre of the village.
