The resort of S'Illot is situated along the east coast of Majorca, neatly sandwiched between the resorts of Cala Millor and Porto Cristo. This traditional Mallorcan fishing village has transformed into a charming resort popular with those who like a relatively quiet vacation. It is surrounded by plenty of hotels and there are many bars and restaurants along the seafront along with sun beds, umbrellas and water sports on the pristine beaches. The modern resort of Sa Coma is connected to S’Illot by a small freshwater lagoon with a footbridge and a slightly larger bridge used for crossing over with cars. Porto Cristo is the nearest smaller town, 4 km away and a bicycle path has been built between the two places. Evening entertainment in S’Illot is generally hotel based, although the resort does have a small number of lively bars. In addition, the bright lights of the lively Cala Millor are only around 5 minutes away by taxi. S’Illot is 65 km north east of the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport.
