Lanzarote is a top place to go if you are on a budget. There is so much you can do for free that your pennies will stretch much further. Of course option number 1 is to simply lie on the beach and read a book for a week - but the great beaches, coastal paths and spectacular inland landscapes offer plenty to keep you occupied for little or no cost. And when it comes to food and drink - a decent feed and a night on the dance floor will be well worth the money you've save on your hotel.
