Deia is located on the spectacular north west coast of Majorca and is one of the most beautiful villages on the island. Perfectly situated between the Tramuntana mountains and the sea, Deia is topped by its ancient church sitting on a hill and extends to the valley below with a system of open irrigation channels dating back to Moorish times. A delightful walk through olive groves brings visitors to the cove where fishermen still go out at dawn to cast their nets. Deia has been a haven for artists, musicians and writers since the early 20th century, many of them making their homes in and around the village.
