Dublin is the Irish capital and is located on the east coast of the country at the mouth of the River Liffy.
Once a Viking trading port and walled medieval city, Dublin is now a graceful Georgian city with wide, open streets, charming squares and grand buildings. The city is well known for the literary giants that have resided there such as Joyce and Shaw that are celebrated in the Dublin Writers Museum and the Book of Kells, located in the beautiful Trinity College, is anther must see attraction. A visit to Dublin has to include a pint of Guinness in one of the many bars that populate the Temple Bar area of the city alternatively visit the Guinness Storehouse, where after a fascinating tour of the history of the black stuff, you get a free pint of Guinness in the rooftop bar which has panoramic views of the city.
