Llandudno is the largest seaside resort in Wales that dates back to the Victorian era. Positioned between Bangor and Chester, it is a fantastic UK holiday destination at any time of year with something for every age.
The resort has kept much of its old-fashioned charm, and is home to the longest pier in Wales, ideal for a morning or evening stroll. There’s also many other opportunities for hiking and cycling in stunning surroundings. One of the highlights of any visit to Llandudno is a ride on the traditional trams - built in 1902 - that travel to the top of one of the ancient mountains in the resort, the Great Orme. Alternatively, you can even take a cable car to the summit from the Happy Valley gardens.
Llandudno offers two beaches that are ideal for sun-worshippers during the summer months. North Beach and West Shore offer something for everyone from exciting water sports to sheltered retreats.
Copper mines that date back to the Bronze Age can be found on the Great Orme with tours taking place every day of the week. Plenty of shopping facilities can also be found here including two modern retail parks, as well as independent shops, family-run businesses and High Street brands.
