Local tips: Icmeler enjoys a protected bay and a golden sand/shingle beach – ensuring calm waters making it great for swimming or snorkelling for all levels – however swimmers must be aware that the drop off comes up quickly and is quite deep- and all are advised to swim in the marked areas - clearly marked. Unlike Marmaris Icmeler is open to the sea offering bathers and sun worshippers breezes off the water during the hottest parts of the year. The beach is a favourite for families as it has more space to spread out than many beaches in Turkey.
