The Pavilhao do Rei is open for breakfast and half-board dinners, and the Atlanico Restaurant offers delicious Portuguese & International food. The Retiro do Rei snack-bar is located poolside, and the Cabana-Marché snack bar on the beach is open May to October. The Bar do Príncipe serves international cocktails and Portuguese drinks with live music, and the Ocean Sandwich Bar is situated on the Beach.

Sports, games and activities: Two saltwater swimming pools (1 heated in winter), two separate children's pools, indoor saltwater heated pool, sun beds and parasols, gym, sauna, Turkish bath, children's club is available during the summer, 9 golf courses in the area. Ask about the unlimited golf packages available for stays of a minimum of 7 nights! Tennis courts are available for use at the Pestana Alvor Praia and at the Pestana Delfim.

The Pestana Dom Joao II features 330 guestrooms equipped with air-conditioning, Satellite TV, radio, mini bar, telephone, safe deposit box (for hire), hairdryer (on request). Rooms with kitchenette are in the Alvor Atlantic. Free baby cot available on request.
