Hotel Facilities

Food, drink and entertainment: Sandos Caracol Eco-Resort & Spa Hotel has six fabulous restaurants, three of them specialty restaurants with a la carte dinning, one specialty buffet and 2 main buffet restaurants, five bars, two snack bars, and a Disco (up to 18 years old). Covered theatre for nightly entertainment. Dress code is casual attire. No swim wear, tops or bare feet allowed in the Restaurants. Elegance in the evening, dress shorts are allowed. All-inclusive Service: All meals daily to include breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Unlimited domestic beer, soft drinks, domestic and international Wine, and cocktails from 11 am to 2 am, with waiter service for beverages offered at pool and beach areas. 24-hour room service.

Sports, games and activities: Three swimming pools, the main one with protected children area and 1 separate children's pool with water games, full SPA with sauna, steam room, whirlpool and fitness centre with exercise equipment, massage, beauty parlor (unisex), 2 Tennis Courts with night lights (one of them multi sports court), Water Sports Center: Deep Sea Fishing, Scuba Diving, introductory diving course, Snorkeling equipment, Windsurfing, Kayaking, Sailing (lessons not included), Boogie Board. Please note some facilities and activities are with charge.

For the Kids: Kids Club divided as Baby 2 to 4 years, Kids 4 to 7 years, Children 8 to 12 years) with fully supervised activities program, children's pool, games and crafts, and mini disco. Teen's Club for adolescents with music, soda machine, air-hockey, tennis tables, pool's tables, soccer tables.

ECO- ACTIVITIES: Eco Tour, includes a detailed tour by the hotel surroundings, showing up the natural wonders at the resort, including typical animals, natural “cenotes” or lagoons and plants of the region. Eco-activities for kids, focused to teach kids to live friendly with nature, take care of the environment and to learn about regional animals and plants. Natural zoo, with typical species, some of them living in their natural habitat and some other brought from outside to complement the ecological concept. Romantic trip in a canoe by the natural “cenotes” along the resort (requires reservation). All these activities do not have an additional charge.

Additional: 24-hour front desk, meeting and banquet rooms, board meeting rooms, travel and car rental agency, shopping area, laundry service, money exchange, ATM machine, photo shop, Internet room (charge), medical service. Some amenities and facilities are at extra charge. New Years Eve gala meal with supplement (mandatory). Honeymoon added value of bottle of wine in room and fruit basket.

Room Facilities

The Sandos Caracol Eco-Resort & Spa Hotel features 738 twin and deluxe guest rooms (twin rooms can be booked for single use) and Junior Suites all with two double beds or a king-size bed, living room with sofa bed, terrace or balcony, full bathroom with WC, double vanity mirror with views, hair dryer, Jacuzzi bath and separate shower. All rooms have air-conditioning, plasma Satellite TV, direct dial telephone, ceiling fan, radio alarm, Wi-Fi Internet access, coffee-maker, iron and ironing board, mini-bar service and safe-deposit (laptop size). Cots available free of charge (on request).

Standard rooms have two queen-size beds or one king-size bed. Bathroom with shower, including hair dryer. Air-conditioning, ceiling fan, satellite color TV, clock radio with alarm, telephone, room safe, and minibar with mineral water, soft drinks and beer (restocked every other day). Balcony with view of garden, pool or jungle.

The Select Beach Club has 218 deluxe rooms and Junior Suites (with terrace and Jacuzzi), Concierge service, Continental breakfast, variety of hors-d'oeuvres and fine pastries open from 7 am to 6 pm, Library, selection of international newspapers, games, music and TV, Premium international drinks and cocktails, Snack bar & Terrace, Showers and dressing rooms and a Private section of the Beach with hammocks, comfortable sun beds & waiter service.
