The hotel has offers a varied breakfast buffet with the main restaurant serving buffet-style lunch and regional and international specialities for dinner. The Lobby Bar has snacks, drinks, beers and cocktails all day long, and live music at night and there is a friendly Piano bar. New Year's Eve gala dinner available with supplement.

Sports, games and activities: Sweetwater swimming pool (heated in winter if needed) with sun beds, umbrellas free of charge, pretty garden setting, solarium area, table tennis, TV room, pool tables (with charge), table games at the front desk. Activities near to the hotel include Golf within 3 km, fishing, Casino, hiking, cycling, Diving, and Snorkelling.

The Sol Puerto Playa Hotel features 190 Rooms with either sea view or views of the Teide and the inner city of Puerto de la Cruz (176 doubles and 14 singles), located in a building with a maximum height of 8 floors and 2 lifts. All rooms have a bathroom with hair dryer, air conditioning, TV, direct dial telephone, and safe (with charge). Maximum occupancy 3 adults, cots free of charge.
